Decreto assinado pelo presidente na sexta-feira (29) fixa o seu valor em R$ 954, um aumento de R$ 17. \u00c9 o menor reajuste do sal\u00e1rio m\u00ednimo em 24 anos. O valor \u00e9 inferior ao estimado anteriormente pelo governo, que era R$ 965.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 21.0pt; background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 11.25pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #263238;\"> O reajuste foi mais baixo porque a f\u00f3rmula de corre\u00e7\u00e3o leva em conta a varia\u00e7\u00e3o do \u00cdndice Nacional de Pre\u00e7os ao Consumidor (INPC) do ano anterior, calculado pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estat\u00edstica (IBGE), e o resultado do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) de dois anos antes. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 21.0pt; background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 11.25pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #263238;\">Como o resultado do PIB de 2016 foi negativo, o reajuste do sal\u00e1rio m\u00ednimo foi calculado apenas pelo INPC, estimado pelo governo em 1,81%. Para o ministro da Fazenda, Henrique Meirelles, o novo valor do sal\u00e1rio m\u00ednimo para 2018 foi determinado pela aplica\u00e7\u00e3o da lei, e n\u00e3o por escolha pol\u00edtica. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 21.0pt; background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 11.25pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #263238;\">Cerca de 45 milh\u00f5es de pessoas no Brasil recebem o sal\u00e1rio m\u00ednimo, entre aposentados e pensionistas, cujos benef\u00edcios s\u00e3o, ao menos em parte, pagos pelo governo federal. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 21.0pt; background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 11.25pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif'; color: #263238;\">A atual f\u00f3rmula de reajuste do sal\u00e1rio m\u00ednimo foi criada em 2012, ainda no governo da ent\u00e3o presidente Dilma Rousseff, e deve valer at\u00e9 2019.
